Ingredients for making Creamy Crab Cakes:
1 kilogram of crab meat
1 large chopped onion
½ cup of tomato paste
2 garlic cloves
1 small chili pepper
1 glass of coconut milk
3 tablespoons of palm oil
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of wheat flour
chopped parsley to taste
black pepper to taste
salt to taste
shells to stuff
How to make Creamy Crab Cakes:
First, wash and dry the shells that will be used for filling. In this case I used scallop shells, but you can use crab or crab shells.
Heat a pan with olive oil and saute the onion, garlic and chopped chili pepper without the seeds until it begins to brown. Add crab meat, mix and saute together for 2-3 minutes.
Tip: If you are using frozen crab meat, wait for it to thaw before preparing the recipe.
Then add the sifted wheat flour and stir to mix. Add the tomato paste, coconut milk and palm oil and keep stirring until you get a creamy filling.
Tip: If you are gluten intolerant, use rice flour or cornstarch instead of flour.
Taste and season the crabmeat filling with pepper and salt to taste. When it is creamy to your taste, turn off the heat, add the green scent and mix. Place a portion of the filling into each ladle, taking care not to overfill.
Tip: If the filling is not so creamy, sprinkle a little more flour.
I served my cone with shrimp in garlic and oil, for a different presentation. Did you like the suggestion? Prepare this delicious crab cone recipe and let us know in the comments how you served your crab cone.
